There are a lot of differences between the
Ferrari F12
and Lamborghini Aventador. But at the same time, there are a few
similarities too. They both have about 700 horsepower, give or take.
They both are large touring cars. And they both make everything else on
the road look inferior—but that’s beside the point.
With that in mind, two drivers took to the track in their respective
Italian supercars; the Ferrari F12, with a 731 horsepower V12, and the
Lamborghini Aventador, with a 691 horsepower V12. The F12 is lighter at
3,593 pounds compared to the Aventador Roadster’s 4,085 pounds, but
all-wheel drive could give the Lambo the jump it needs.

Even with the Lamborghini’s all-wheel drive, the F12 gets a
surprising jump on the Aventador—and never looks back. Though, we
suspect that might have been in part due to driver error. At the end of
the day, the F12 finished with a high of 154.1 mph, while the Aventador
Roadster hit 154.3 mph.
