Next BMW Z4 & Toyota Supra: Collaboration With Different Goals

It is no secret that both BMW and Toyota are working with each other to develop what is believed to be a new architecture platform. Toyota has teased before that the platform will be utilized to create the next-gen Supra whereas BMW will utilize the platform to build the next Supra.

Even with the same underpinnings, both the Supra and Z4 will come out with different things to offer. The latter will be built as a convertible roadster and it will aim to offer a smooth drive that is both fast and full of pleasure.
As for the Toyota Supra, it will be built to offer maximum speed and power with an affordable price tag. If the rumours are to be referred to, the Supra will be aimed at producing more than 400hp so that it can compete with the Nissan GT-R and Audi R8.
Of course, rumours are still rumours and they should be taken with a grain of salt. Regardless, both the Z4 and Supra will share the same underpinnings but they will have different purposes to fulfil
